WhiteOak Capital Mutual Fund has announced the launch of the WhiteOak Capital Consumption Opportunities Fund, an open-ended equity scheme following the consumption theme. The scheme aims to capitalise on long-term opportunities arising from India’s domestic consumption-led growth by investing in companies engaged in consumption and consumption-related activities or allied sectors.
The fund seeks to benefit from rising disposable incomes, changing consumer preferences, urbanisation, and increasing penetration of consumer goods and services across the economy.
The investment objective of the scheme is to provide long-term capital appreciation by investing predominantly in equity and equity-related instruments of companies engaged in consumption and consumption-related activities or allied sectors, or those expected to benefit from domestic consumption-led demand.
The scheme will follow a bottom-up stock selection approach and will not have any bias towards market capitalisation or investment style. While the fund may invest across sectors and market caps, at least 80% of the portfolio will be allocated to consumption-oriented equities under normal market conditions. However, there is no assurance that the investment objective of the scheme will be achieved.
